is an un-pretentious restaurant tucked away in a nice little multi-leveled gardenlike corner. Because of the extensive,
original and affordable menu, Pokhara has been
a favorite with locals for many years.
Pokhara is a garden restaurant with
lots of plants and ambient lighting, giving it a quaint
and welcoming feeling. With its different size tables
on multi-level floor, it's a piece of old Playa.
The Swiss-Italian owner team has created a diverse
and eclectic menu with pasta, seafood, Mexican
food and the even some Swiss dishes, plus some nice flambes for dessert. We like the jalapeño
poppers enough to try and copy them at home. Pokhara
is also the only place in town with roesti
on the menu (as far as we know)!
With the addition of great drinks
- do try the sweet and fruity Pokhara Special - this
is a Playa restaurant well worth a visit.
